Surface, surface, surface!
Jun. 27th, 2006 08:35 pmHas it really been a month since my last entry? Sheesh.
Well, the bad news is that I spent far too much of that last month putting in mucho overtime at the Current Paying Gig. The better news is that at least I got paid for the OT. The good news is that we're done with development on the CPG's project; the even better news is that the bug counts are happily low (and the bugs themselves are relatively minor), so the ridiculously long hours would appear to be a thing of the past. On the other hand, the main reason I got into contract software work in the first place was to get away from unpaid overtime hell; paid overtime is better than unpaid, but frankly I'd rather not have the OT in the first place.
Hopefully, this means that I'll have time and energy for something besides work (and the odd comment tossed onto folks' LJs). We shall, of course, have to see. At the moment, though, it looks like I won't be down in the depths of LJ silent running ...
