Sometimes this commute is worth it

It's about a mile from North Station, which is where the commuter rail service out to my home town terminates; on days when the weather is at least semi-decent, I'm in the habit of walking that mile. Part of the fun is that, if I so choose, I can go through the Faneuil Hall Marketplace.
Where else in America can you see two gentlemen in Colonial-era garb discussing issues of the day as they stroll past a solar-powered trash compactor and an eclectic collection of street musicians?
