Local COVID-19 updates

Wall-o-text, covering 3 days of case data )

Deaths up compared to Friday, which is bad. Still too many cases, and in an unhappy trend, today's 5,443 cases are the highest three-day report since February 7. (Yes, the average is down compared to Friday, but weekend reporting has been wonky for this entire pandemic.) Hospitalizations are up as well, which is very discouraging. Seven-day averages for cases and hospitalizations are also up; those for deaths and percent-positive are down. The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 31 active and 3,024 cumulative cases as of April 24. In the most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
