Well, this ain't good at all. Day-over-day deaths are way up (admittedly from a very small count yesterday), cases are up a bunch, and hospitalizations are up (barely). The seven-day averages for cases, hospitalizations and percent-positive are all up. And every county in Massachusetts is back up to high community transmission (greater than 100 daily cases per 100k population over the past seven days).

I guess that makes it official, then: the US government thinks they've got COVID under control, and only care about hospitalization numbers. I am extremely doubtful that things are under control (but would dearly love to be proven wrong in that regard).

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 40 active and 3,047 cumulative cases as of April 26; the 40 active caess is the highest since February 7. In the most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
