And apparently successfully. Have big new knee brace and very ouchie knee under it. Also lots of mighty painkillers.

Wonderful news - and I'll second the suggestion to be careful about listening to your body - these things can take extra time and bodies aren't always used to understanding this whole "surgical fix" thing; sometimes they think they're *done* when they're only 3/4ths of the way there.
