Odd Thing Seen on the Drive to Work Today

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's Ladder Truck #1 tootling down I-495 in Massachusetts.

I'm guessing that they were en route to the Mass. Firefighting Academy in Stow. Still, not exactly what I expected to see on my morning commute.
